Miraculous

I’ve witnessed incredible feats.

I’ve seen a man swing a bat like it was a toothpick and hit a baseball 500 feet. I’ve watched as Olympians have shattered world records once thought to be unbreakable. I’ve observed people recite lines as though their memory had no end.

Incredible? Yes. Miraculous? When compared to Jesus, not even close.

Our culture has taken the idea of a miracle and watered down its meaning. When our team hits a half court shot at the buzzer to win the championship, we call it a miracle. When the shoes we’ve had our eye on go on sale, we label it a miracle. When we’re able to make our car payment for the month, we mark it down as a miracle.

The miracles of Jesus are far beyond any sports memory or incredible sale. He walked on water. He gave sight to the blind. He made the lame walk. He raised the dead and then overcame death Himself. Those aren’t everyday feats you see on ESPN or your local news. Those were incredible, miraculous happenings that came from the Son of God.

As you journey through these lessons, you will come face to face with Jesus. You’ll examine His ministry and see how our Savior was both worshiped and opposed because of the miracles He performed. Some were too legalistic to understand His ways. Some saw His mighty works and believed. Others experienced His miracles firsthand and were forever changed. 

As you study the amazing life of Jesus, will you meet His message with opposition, or will you be one who is forever changed because of Him? If you seek Him and follow His teachings, the change in your life will be nothing short of miraculous!
