God Is Not My Magic Pill
I recently heard someone give a formula for success. In this formula, God was the "multiplyer" of all the items in the formula. "If you multiply hard work by God, then you will be successful."
Yeah, the Kingdom of God doesn't work like that.
Jesus said the first will be last and the last will be first.
Matt Chandler said if we worship God because He gives us more money, or because He makes us happier or because He makes us healthier or because He gives us a good marriage, then we're after those things instead of God, and biblically an idolator.
The Good News is not that life gets better on the outside, but that no matter what situation life hands us, we get Christ, and He is enough!
