Coming to You Sometimes when I think about the immensity of the universe I feel so pathetic and insignificant. Our teeny-tiny, brief existences can be so depressing and overwhelming. And yet, thinking about the immenseness can, ironically, lead one to a fuller joy and boldness. Consider the huge and complex dance: The universe is so incredibly big many scientists believe it doesn't even have an end. Our small, finite minds cannot comprehend such a thing. The Original Thinker His legs bent slightly under him, the man leaned forward, elbow on his knee and his chin resting on his hand. Auguste Rodin's sculpture, "The Thinker," was part of an 1880 exhibit based on Dante's The Divine Comedy. "The Thinker" was to portray Dante himself sitting at the top of the door to hell contemplating the scene below. If We're Christians, Why Can't We Forgive One Another? When I hadn't heard from my friend, I finally decided to halt my over-packed schedule and call her one more time. For weeks I had been getting her voicemail. Thanks to Facebook I knew she was still alive, but we are both busy, so I let it go. The last time we had talked she seemed different. Sad. Even distant.
